Can I sell 12 properties in one year and not pay the higher capital gains tax (CGT) rate?
Arthur Weller replies:
It depends on the total capital gains generated by the sales, but most likely if dealing with residential property there will be CGT at 28% on the majority of capital gains. If you reinvested the gains in an enterprise investment scheme investment you could defer the payment of CGT. But the truth is that this is not so practical.
